Delete your account

You can start full deletion inside MealFact without contacting support. If you cannot access the app, use the verified email option below.

Deleting your MealFact account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in the store account used to purchase it.

Delete from MealFact

  1. Open MealFact and go to Settings.
  2. Choose Privacy and consent.
  3. Select Delete all my data.
  4. Review the warning and confirm. Sign in again if Apple or another provider requires fresh authorization.

If you cannot open the app

Send an email from the address linked to your MealFact account to privacy@mealfact.com with the subject Delete my MealFact account.

Do not include meal photos, health information, passwords, or payment-card details. We may request a secure account-verification step before deletion.

What deletion covers

  • your optional MealFact account and synchronized profile;
  • synchronized meals, recipes, corrections, referenced photos, and private-group membership;
  • server-side health consent records and optional analytics events linked to the account;
  • separately identifiable contribution records and copies, subject to limited exclusion records and the technical limits described in the contribution notice.

Local-only data is removed through the app. Uninstalling may remove local data but is not a substitute for deleting a synchronized account.

Timing and limited exceptions

Access is disabled when the request is completed. Deletion from active systems is initiated promptly, and deletion is targeted to propagate through backups within 30 days. Shorter processing targets described in the Privacy Policy continue to apply to transient photos and logs.

Account deletion does not immediately remove entries from the separate API abuse-prevention ledger. Until their normal expiry, for no more than 62 days, the ledger may retain only one or more non-reversible HMAC fingerprints derived from the account and its verified sign-in identities, plus per-day request and cost counters. It contains no email address, user UUID, Apple or Google subject identifier, photo, meal record, or health data. Non-personal global aggregates may be retained for security and accounting.

We may retain only records required by law, fraud prevention, transaction accounting, dispute handling, or a limited exclusion record needed to prevent withdrawn material from being reused. Such records are restricted and deleted when no longer required.

Manage the subscription separately

  • Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MealFact.
  • Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MealFact.
